Investment Bonds

This type of bond is an insurance policy that can be used as a wrapper for holding investments in managed funds administered by a life company.  The insurance element of the bond is essentially nominal as its main purpose is to create the possibility of favourable tax treatment for the investments held in the bond.

An investment bond can be used as a way of generating regular income from a deferred income or long term capital growth.
